REFSQ'06 Call for Papers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
REFSQ'06 -- The 12th International Working Conference on
Requirements Engineering: Foundation for Software Quality
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
http://www.refsq.org (https://exchange.seilevel.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.refsq.org)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Overview

Now in its twelfth year, REFSQ is a highly interactive forum for
researchers and practitioners to address the problem of ensuring software
quality through requirements engineering (RE). The last decade has
seen improvements in our understanding of RE with better practices
supported by better techniques, methods and tools. Despite these
successes, many quality-related problems remain, while new challenges
for RE constantly emerge. REFSQ seeks reports of innovative work in
RE that contributes to the achievement of higher software quality.
In particular, we encourage people from the requirements engineering,
software engineering, information systems, and embedded systems fields
to present their approaches to RE. Contributions from related areas
such as formal methods, systems engineering, economics and management
and social sciences are especially welcome.

Themes

Submissions may be on any aspect of RE and its relation to other fields,
for instance:
- Estimation in RE
- Best Practices in Specific Domains
- RE for Autonomic and Self-conscious Systems
- Encoding, Transferring, Analysing and Applying RE Knowledge
- RE in Large Projects: Compositionality and Scalability
Case studies, experience reports and industrial problem statements are
particularly encouraged.

Workshop Format and Submissions

REFSQ has a long tradition of being a highly interactive forum.
In the past, attendance was limited to authors of accepted papers only.
This year, for the first time, attendance to the event is open to every
interested person. Discussants and Discussion Facilitators will be
formally appointed for each paper and session, respectively, to ensure an
atmosphere of productive interaction. The workshop language is English.

Three types of paper are solicited: full papers (15 pages max, 12
recommended), position papers (6 pages max) and industrial problem
statements (6 pages max) -- see http://www.refsq.org (https://exchange.seilevel.com/exchweb/bin/redir.asp?URL=http://www.refsq.org) for details about
format and evaluation criteria. Submission is handled electronically
through the REFSQ web site.

Publication

Workshop proceedings will be published, as in previous years, in volume
form by Essener Informatik Beiträge. In addition, revised versions of
the best papers presented at the conference will be published in a special
issue of the Information and Software Technology journal (Elsevier)

Associated event

REFSQ is associated with the Workshop on the Interplay of Requirements
Engineering and Project Management in Quality Assurance (REProManQA) --
see the web site for details.
