Going forward, social computing will be a part of most websites and web applications. It is leveling the playing field and becoming a key strategic focus for many businesses. Web 2.0 is about community and relationship. These are people-centric areas that have always been uncomfortable for traditional business. But they are basic to both usability professionals and business analysts. Our role has always been about connecting people with technology and now an enormous opportunity is emerging. How can we recognize and capitalize on the opportunities that are emerging?
Charles B. Kreitzberg will discuss Web 2.0 and how addressing both the design and organizational challenges that we face in creating successful web communities will lead to new roles and opportunities.
Dr. Kreitzberg is CEO of Cognetics Corporation (http://www.cognetics.com) which he founded in 1982. He is active in both the usability and IT communities and is known for his thought leadership in social computing and user-centered design.
