The Inmates are Running the Asylum by Alan Cooper is an amusing, quick read. Its subtitle, Why High-Tech Products Drive us Crazy and How to Restore the Sanity is a pretty nice synopsis of the contents.
The major focus of the book is on how we got into this situation. Particularly interesting to the Product Manager or Business Analyst is the section which describes how developers (referred to by Cooper as "Homo Logicus") think and what motivates them.
This book makes a strong case for performing Interaction Design (i.e., restoring the sanity) but is not a how-to for Interaction Design.
